A fellow artist showed me her garden when I spied this iris next door. I asked if she would ask her neighbor if I could cut the flower. The neighbor was her sister who kindly said yes. I have a policy of giving a giclée to anyone who allows me to cut their plant material for a painting. Both sisters received a giclée in this case.
