I chose this wonderful rose to paint after the movie, “Julie and Julia”. It spoke to me. This was my first painting which included a pollinator, the honey bee which is vanishing from America. The watercolor shows the bud stage, full blossom, and the petal drop of the rose. This work was displayed at Staunton-Augusta Art Center, Staunton, VA at the show "Something to Celebrate". This image was for posters in store fronts in Staunton for the exhibit “Some Thing To Celebrate” July- August, 2014. It was the festival flags used at the exhibit. The original is available for $3,000. Contact the artist if interested in purchasing the original.
