This unnamed tulip from the florist was a class study with Jenny Phillips, Brisbane, Australia. I painted the torn leaves as they appeared. I saved every piece of my plant and as the stamen and pistils matured, wonderful color contrasting with the gray white tulip made an interesting subject. The original on d'Arches 140 pound paper is painted in watercolor. It is available for $3,000. Contact the artist if interested in purchasing the original.
